DES presented the first candidates within days of launching the search and attracted an array of individuals from Canada, the US, South America, Europe, the UK, Asia and Australia as the mandate expanded. The Brookfield relationship has blossomed, as we now advise the BGTF, BAC & PE teams for specialized roles.

BCI

DES led this “search bundle” in the wake of COVID-related departures. The entire mandate was completed within six months and included investment professionals for the Funds, Direct PE, Venture & Growth groups and, later, in Investment Strategy & Risk. Since that time, we have partnered with the New York team as well.

DELOITTE

DES led a large-scale partner buildout with a focus on identifying female candidates and those from under-represented groups. Each search was in a distinct practice group, showcasing our breadth in delivering bespoke professional services partners across the firm.

NATIONAL BANK FINANCIAL (NBF)

NBF had ambitions to become a Top 3 player in investment banking in Canada. By taking a strategic, targeted approach to identifying top candidates, the IB division has since expanded its areas of coverage meaningfully. This includes bringing on bankers in AB, ON, & QC to lead important and growing industries.
